Lansdowne Park Engagement Session

Capturing Joy: Jess and Matt

In the heart of autumn, with its crisp air and changing leaves, I had the opportunity to document the engagement shoot of Jess and Matt — two individuals whose connection is evident in every shared glance and burst of laughter. As an Ottawa wedding photographer, I am drawn to the stories of couples, and this day was no exception.

Lansdowne Park Engagement Session

Jess and Matt are hockey enthusiasts, regulars at Lansdowne Park, where the energy of the crowd mirrors their own spirited relationship. Their engagement shoot was refreshingly relaxed, set against the backdrop of Ottawa’s charming streets. As we moved through various spots a passerby commented, “You are a beautiful couple” – she was absolutely right about that.

Their wedding, scheduled for September 2025 at the Mill of Kintail, promises to be a celebration of their journey together. The reception at Almonte Old Town Hall will serve as a fitting backdrop for the next chapter in their story — one that is grounded in shared experiences and unwavering support.

In my work as an Ottawa wedding photographer, I strive to capture these authentic moments that speak to the heart of a relationship. Jess and Matt’s engagement shoot was a reminder that love is not always grand gestures; sometimes, it’s found in the laughter shared on a simple afternoon, the comfort of companionship, and the promise of a future together.

As they prepare for their wedding, I look forward to continuing to document their journey — each frame a testament to their love and the moments that will define their life together.

Love consists in this: that two solitudes protect and touch and greet each other.
― Rainer Maria Rilke
