Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of documenting the beautiful Fairmont Château wedding of David and Alexandra in Montebello, Quebec. Alexandra exuded elegance in her stunning slip-style dress, which perfectly complemented her radiant beauty and effortless charm.
The first image above happened as we walked through the busy hotel lobby together, heading outside to the reception. An amazing ray of afternoon sunlight was shining through windows high up on the second level of the hotel and as they walked into the pool of light it was like that light was just for them – separating them from the rest of the holiday makers bustling around us. We stopped for roughly 30 seconds for this portrait and then moved on.
Despite a heat warning that persisted throughout the day, the gentlemen impressively managed to keep their jackets on for the entire ceremony. The groom, David, may appear calm and collected in some of the images, but behind the scenes, his shirt was soaked through by the time we got to take their portraits. Both Alexandra and David were absolute stars, handling the heat with grace and poise.
One of the highlights of the day was the participation of children in the wedding celebration. Their presence added a brilliant energy to the event, making it all the more fun and lively. Their laughter and excitement were infectious, and they brought a unique charm to the day that was a joy to document.
The Fairmont Le Château Montebello provided a breathtaking backdrop for the wedding, with its rustic charm and picturesque surroundings. It was an honor to capture these precious moments for them David and Alexandra.
