We arrived early, even before the dog walkers, on this fresh Saturday morning. The ‘golden hour’ just after sunrise and just before sunset is every photographer’s favorite time of day. Whether you’re shooting landscapes, portraits, weddings, fashion, or street photography, the quickly changing light delivers a dynamic yet natural mood.
The gardens, with their meticulously arranged flower beds and serene pathways, provided a tranquil setting for Matthew and Kim to relax. The early hour also meant fewer background distractions, allowing us to focus entirely on the shoot.
Amidst this peaceful scene, a small stray cat with a damaged ear appeared. It followed us at a safe distance, its curiosity piqued, seemingly ensuring we caused no trouble while it searched for mice. This unexpected companion added a touch of charm to our morning, making the experience even more memorable.
In just three months, we’ll be back for their cozy winter wedding. I can’t wait to meet their new little bundle of joy, who will officially make them parents. It’s going to be quite the shift from this sunny and peaceful end-of-summer moment to a chilly mid-winter celebration with friends and family surrounding them. I can’t wait!
