Shay and Ant had already exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony in Toronto. This casual gathering at the historic Almonte Old Town Hall in Mississippi Mills marked the second part of their multi-part wedding celebration. Next on the agenda is a trip to Jamaica, which I hope to be invited to document as well!
Flowers, Laughter, & Light
The town hall provided an idyllic backdrop for this Almonte wedding. As an architecture enthusiast, I was captivated by the historic building’s beautiful details, which made it a joy to photograph. The afternoon light was perfect, streaming through the large windows and casting lovely beams into the room. The floral arrangements were spectacular, featuring vibrant pink and purple hues. Seed packets with native Canadian wild flowers were given as gifts to all guests—a brilliant idea to support the local environment and a detail that truly reflected Shay and Ant’s personalities
I won’t attempt to summarize the speeches, as this family is clearly blessed with eloquent writers and I am more of a visual story teller (Almonte Wedding Photographer). The evening was filled with beautifully crafted poetry, heartfelt prose, and nostalgic childhood memories that entertained and deeply moved everyone present.
