I had the pleasure of documenting the wedding of David and Alexandra at the Fairmont Château in Montebello, Quebec. Alexandra looked effortlessly radiant in her slip-style dress, a perfect match for her graceful presence and understated elegance.
The first image above was captured as we walked through the bustling hotel lobby on our way to the reception. A shaft of afternoon sunlight poured through the high windows on the second level, and as the couple stepped into it, it felt as though the light had singled them out—momentarily separating them from the busy holidaymakers around us. We paused for about 30 seconds to capture the portrait before moving on.
Despite a heat warning that lasted all day, the gentlemen kept their jackets on throughout the ceremony. David’s calm and collected demeanor in the photos masked the fact that his shirt was thoroughly soaked by the time we took their portraits. Both Alexandra and David handled the sweltering heat with remarkable poise, making the day feel effortless despite the conditions.
One of the most memorable aspects of the celebration was the children’s participation. Their energy and laughter brought a playful, lively spirit to the day, creating moments that were as fun as they were heartfelt.
The Fairmont Le Château Montebello provided a stunning backdrop, with its rustic architecture and picturesque surroundings, making every frame feel timeless. It was an honor to capture these intimate and joyful moments for David and Alexandra.
